A little about Sole & Mind and what Reflexology did for me...

Most of us are seeking natural ways to maintain our health and well being. When I shop I tend to favour more natural products, this is the same for my health which is why I became interested in Reflexology.

For many years I suffered from severe allergies. I was so poorly that it really affected my state of mind and daily outlook. I would wake every morning sneezing, have itchy eyes, wheezing and a general sluggishness. I was allergic to dust mites, pollen ( summer and winter ), damp and mould to name but a  few. This feeling was really getting me down and after trying all types of conventional medicines I decided to take a holistic approach and try Reflexology. After my first session I was hooked! It was the most overwhelming feeling of complete relaxation that I have ever felt!  - an absolute serene level of tranquility.

Through a series of sessions I really began to feel like my old self again. Reflexology really helped me, allowing my body to effectively heal itself. As a result my immune system is now much stronger and I am so happy to feel alive in the mornings again!

As a result of Reflexology having such a positive effect on my life, I was inspired to learn more about this amazing therapy. I already new it had fantastic benefits I was the proof in the pudding. So off I went, back to school to retrain. I am now an accredited IIR trained Reflexologist.

I started Sole & Mind because I want to help people of all ages and promote the amazing benefits of Reflexology!

I am a qualified member of the International Institute of Reflexology and the Association of Reflexologists, and a practitioner of the Original Ingham Method® of Reflexology.  I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.

I was trained by the International Institute of Reflexology, which is the oldest Reflexology School and the only one licensed to teach the Original Ingham Method® of Reflexology.

In the UK, Practitioners studying with the IIR have to achieve the highest theory pass mark of any Reflexology School. Qualifying as a Member entailed an in-depth study of anatomy and physiology, as well as the completion of over 100 hours of practical case studies.

The Association of Reflexologists was founded in 1984. It arose from a need to establish standards and to provide a network of qualified practitioners to which the public could refer with confidence. The aim of the Association is to help maintain a high standard of practice and patient care, and to promote Reflexology. Members are bound by the Association's Codes of Practice and Ethics.

I am now studying for my Advanced Reflexology Techniques (ART) qualification to continue improving my skills and knowledge as Reflexology techniques are continually being refined and adapted.
